ÇEVKO Environmental Protection and Packaging Waste Utilization Foundation was established on November 1, 1991, to contribute to the establishment and development of a sustainable recycling system in Turkey. ÇEVKO Foundation, a pioneer in its field, not only collaborates with municipalities and economic enterprises to collect and recycle post-consumer packaging waste separately at the source, but also focuses on activities aimed at increasing social awareness.
In recent years, ÇEVKO Foundation has focused on the transition to a circular economy and the fight against climate change in Turkey. Implementing the sustainable production, sustainable consumption and upcycling processes of the circular economy; It strives to raise awareness in society about climate change adaptation and mitigation.
ÇEVKO Foundation, which obtained the right to use the international "Green Dot" sign in Turkey in 2003, is also a member of extended producer responsibility organizations in Europe.

The Green Dot was first used in Germany in 1990-1991 to symbolize the separate collection of packaging waste at the source.
In order to popularize its use, "Packaging Recovery Organization Europe - PRO Europe" was established in 1995. PRO Europe grants the right to use Green Dots to the recycling systems of member countries on a non-profit basis. The Green Dot has become an international model symbolizing the financial contribution of industry to the recycling system. A Green Dot on a package indicates that the company that puts that packaged product on the market fulfills its legal obligations regarding the recovery of packaging waste and makes a financial contribution to the recycling system.
ÇEVKO Foundation obtained the right to use the Green Dot sign in Turkey with the agreement it made with PRO Europe in 2003. The Foundation makes this symbol, which is common in Europe, available by making sublicense agreements with economic enterprises that want to use it in Turkey.
