Greenhouse Gas Emissions in the USA Increased by 6.2% in 2021.

According to an analysis by Rhodium Group, US greenhouse gas emissions, which decreased in 2020, increased by 6.2% in 2021, driven by a 17% increase in electricity production from coal. While it was stated in the analysis that one fifth of the electricity in the USA is produced from renewable energy sources, it was evaluated that this increase in greenhouse gas emissions moves the USA away from the climate targets of 2025 and 2030.
