PepsiCo, which believes in the importance of women's place in business life, attaches great importance to women's employment, and works to build a more fair future with the awareness of the value that individual differences add to the business world, has implemented its brand new project "PepsiCo You", which supports diversity and inclusion.
PepsiCo Turkey continues to create positive change in society with its projects that support gender equality, inclusion and diversity, while working for a more environmentally friendly food system in line with its sustainability strategy pep+.
In this context, PepsiCo Turkey implemented the She is PepsiCo project, which is carried out globally in order to make the successes, contributions and stories of PepsiCo's female employees visible, with a more inclusive approach in Turkey under the name "PepsiCo You". This campaign aims to share the career journeys and inspiring stories of female employees and encourage the participation of more women in the workforce.
Within the scope of the "PepsiCo You" project, the inspiring stories of PepsiCo Turkey's women working in the field are brought to large audiences through videos. In the shootings held in different locations of PepsiCo, six female employees candidly talked about their career journeys, their experiences at PepsiCo and how they overcame the difficulties they encountered in this process. Each story reveals women's perseverance, determination and experiences on the road to success. These videos aim to provide hope not only to PepsiCo employees, but also to all women looking for inspiration all over Turkey.
PepsiCo Strategy and Transformation Senior Director Deniz Alkan said, "As PepsiCo, we are a company guided by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. In this context, we work towards many of the 17 sustainable development goals. We have many studies, both globally and specifically in Turkey, in areas ranging from qualified education to gender equality. With this understanding, PepsiCo has implemented gender equality in 71 countries so far in line with the global goals to build a better world by improving diversity, equality and inclusion in line with its global pep+ strategy." We believe that the development of our employees and the society we serve is the fundamental factor for the success of our company. We work with all our strength to create an inclusive and egalitarian working environment that encourages cooperation, regardless of who we are, where we come from or who we love. We are implementing this vision with concrete steps through our various projects. We support young women in the science and business world with programs such as the Science Women of the Future Academy and Mentor to Million Women, and to increase the number of female employees in production processes with our Employment project with KİPAP. "We also carry out activities to encourage women's employment in the field and raise awareness with the workshops and webinars we organize. We support the empowerment of women in leadership roles with our mentoring and sponsorship programs. One of the last projects we implemented with this understanding was "PepsiCo You"," he said.
PepsiCo Human Resources Senior Director Özlem Ökten said, “PepsiCo You Are” project is a global campaign that aims to make the efforts, achievements and contributions of our female colleagues, especially those working in the field, more visible. We implemented this campaign, known globally as 'She is PepsiCo', in Turkey with a more inclusive approach under the name 'You are PepsiCo'. Within the scope of the project, we shot in different locations with our 6 female colleagues. During these shoots, we prepared content and videos in which they shared both their opinions about our inclusive working environment and their inspiring stories in their career journeys. “Our goal is to inspire more women to join such a rich and supportive workforce by sharing the inspiring stories of our female employees in the field both inside and outside the company.”
As PepsiCo Turkey, Ökten said that they focus on doing their best to provide a sustainable and positive working environment for all their employees, as an important part of their pep+ agenda, and underlined that they work for a world where every woman can realize her potential by supporting gender equality and the role of women in business life.
