Ford Otosan Became the First Automotive Company to Receive WWF-Turkey's "Green Office" Diploma

Ford Otosan, the leading company of the Turkish automotive industry, became the first automotive company to be awarded the "Green Office" diploma within the scope of the WWF-Turkey (World Wildlife Fund) Green Office Program, in which it participated in line with the importance it attaches to environmental sustainability and its aim to reduce its impact on nature. The Green Office diploma is awarded by WWF-Türkiye to offices that achieve their goals of reducing their ecological footprint.

With the aim of reducing its environmental impact on natural resources, Ford Otosan participated in WWF-Türkiye's Green Office Program with its R&D Center and Marketing, Sales and After-Sales Offices located in Istanbul Sancaktepe location, and received the "Green Office" diploma with its works aimed at raising awareness on energy saving, conscious use of natural resources, and changing the lifestyle of employees.

Thanks to the sensitivity and support of our employees, we became the company that participated in the Green Office Program with the highest number of office employees in a single location. We are proud to be the first company in the Turkish automotive industry to receive this diploma."

Employees were raised with various events
Ford Otosan, as the company that participated in the WWF-Turkey Green Office Program with the highest number of office employees in a single location, carried out studies to reduce the paper, water and electricity consumption of 1,711 office employees in its first year. In order to carry out the work effectively in the Green Office Program, where it focuses on reducing environmental impacts, it created a team called "Green Office Team" with 25 project volunteers, consisting of employees from different units.

Within a period of 10 months within the scope of the studies carried out within the scope of the Green Office Program;

• As a result of the improvements made, 78,807 km was saved with a 10% saving in paper consumption. The CO2 gas released into the air by a moving car was eliminated. By encouraging employees to use mug cups instead of paper cups, 12% savings in paper cup consumption and 1,856,205 lt. water savings were achieved.
• With the 9% savings in water consumption, wasting of enough water to fill an Olympic swimming pool was prevented.
• With the 10% gain realized as a result of the improvements made in electricity use, savings equivalent to the monthly electricity consumption of a family of 4 people were achieved.
