Presidential Circular on the establishment of the National Sustainable Development Coordination Board was published.

The National Sustainable Development Coordination Board was established to increase cooperation in public institutions in practices related to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

According to the Presidential Circular published in the 2022/12 issue of the Official Gazette dated 18 July 2022, the board will operate under the chairmanship of the Head of Strategy and Budget.

The board will include the relevant deputy ministers of all ministries, as well as the presidents of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency, the Turkish Human Rights and Equality Institution and the Turkish Statistical Institute.

The Board will be able to form working groups with the participation of relevant representatives and experts to carry out studies on sustainable development issues. When necessary, other public institutions and organizations, universities, professional chambers, non-governmental organizations, international organizations, private sector representatives and experts on the subject may be invited to the Board meetings and take part in the working groups.
