Coca-Cola İçecek (CCI) once again proved its sustainability performance at the international level by receiving A- grade in the Climate Change program and A grade, the highest level, in the Water Security program, according to the results of the CDP 2024 reporting period. CCI was among the 2% of 133 companies included in the CDP Water Safety Global A List, strengthening its global leadership in this field.
Behind this success are sustainability projects with measurable impact. CCI places among its priorities the efficient management of the water used in its production processes. It constantly improves its operations with the practices it implements in line with its water management strategy. Saving approximately 686,111 m³ of water in the countries in which it operates as of 2024, CCI's total water savings in the last 10 years has approached 3 million m³. The rate of water recycled and reused in 2024 was recorded as 5.2% on an annual basis.
Attaching great importance to the protection of water resources, CCI identifies and evaluates water risks in the regions where it operates and takes action to produce solutions in order to reduce the impact of its operations on water resources. Nationally and internationally accepted tools are used in these analyses.
CCI aims to achieve water neutrality by 2030 and support water security with community projects in regions experiencing water stress. With the projects it implemented in this context, it returned 3.2 million m³ of water to basins under water stress in 2024 and reached a water recovery level of 50.67%.
Within the scope of combating climate change, CCI focuses on reducing its environmental footprint by increasing energy efficiency in its operations. In this direction:
These projects are supported by CCI's strong sustainability governance structure. The sustainability agenda is regularly monitored by the Board of Directors Sustainability Committee; Climate and water criteria are among the performance targets of senior managers.
The consecutive A and A- grades reflect CCI's data-based sustainability approach that is compatible with global environmental standards; CCI continues to maintain its leadership in this field and take concrete and effective steps to leave a more livable world to future generations.
