GÜS – Extended Producer Responsibility Working Group

The mission of the GÜS Working Group, which was established in 2022 and consists of representatives of ÇEVKO Foundation members:

Increasing the awareness and knowledge of group members about Extended Producer Responsibility,

Participating and organizing events on SPP as a representative of industry and civil society; Conducting communication and awareness activities for individuals and other relevant stakeholders,

Carrying out pilot projects on a voluntary basis with the GÜS model on the separate collection and recycling of post-consumer packaging waste at the source in Turkey, calculating and reporting the recycling rates obtained on behalf of the participating industrial organizations,

Turkish Grand National Assembly, relevant ministries, government institutions, etc. improving relationships and collaboration with stakeholders; Working to make the legal regulations and practices regarding SPP, which has gained importance with the transition to a circular economy in the EU, also become active in Turkey,

Providing technical support and consultancy to GÜS formations emerging in other countries, including group members, upon request.
