LAV Published Its First Sustainability Report
15 Sep 2021LAV shapes its activities with the "Journey with Glass" sustainability strategy, which it created to develop processes that respect the environment and people. This strategy, which is internalized with the idea that glass is 100 percent recyclable, does not harm the environment due to its very low degradation rate, and will contribute to sustainability as glass becomes more prevalent in our lives, aims to include glass more in the journey of life. In addition, LAV does not limit the issue of sustainability only to its operations. By adopting a sustainability approach throughout the supply chain, it regularly monitors the environmental, social and economic performances of its suppliers.
LAV takes sustainability seriously!
Believing in the power of common mind and action for sustainable development, LAV supports many local and global initiatives and takes an active role in solving problems. Business Plastics Initiative (IPG), Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI), Supplier Ethics Data Exchange Program SEDEX, UN Women's Empowerment Principles (UN WEPs) are just a few of them.
The “Journey with Glass” sustainability strategy defines the sustainability priorities that LAV will focus on in the 2020-2025 period. At the same time, the LAV Sustainability Scorecard was created for the company to measure and improve its own sustainability performance.
Contributing to 7 different UN Sustainable Development Goals in line with the strategy created under 3 main headings, LAV does not hesitate to take responsibility for future generations.
