P&G Announces Environmental Sustainability Plans with Target 2030

ÇEVKO Foundation member Procter & Gamble stated that it has achieved many of its 2020 environmental sustainability targets and has made strong plans to achieve the remaining ones, and announced that it has created comprehensive new targets for 2030. The new sustainability targets, grouped under the title "Target 2030", aim to inspire and leave a positive impact on the environment and society while creating value for P&G and consumers.

P&G's "Target 2030" document includes the following items:

• Brands: P&G's 20 leading brands, including Always, Ariel, Fairy, Febreze, Head & Shoulders, Pantene and Prima, will maintain consumer trust with 100% recyclable or reusable packaging and transparent content in 100% of the brands. It will also enable and inspire responsible consumption by initiating more sustainable innovations with its brands.
• Supply Chain: P&G will halve greenhouse gas emissions at its production sites, and these sites will supply enough renewable electricity to power 100% of its facilities. P&G will also save at least 5 billion liters of water through reuse.
• Society: P&G will continue to build transformative partnerships that prevent the dumping of plastic into the world's oceans, protect and grow forests, expand recycling solutions for absorbent hygiene products, and protect water in the world's priority basins, enabling people, the planet and our business to thrive.
• Employees: P&G will engage, guide and engage its employees in sustainability so that sustainable thinking and its applications are reflected in the daily workflow. will reward. Every contribution provided will be reflected as a reward to the employee and will be integrated into these performance evaluations.

P&G has made strong progress in most of its core business areas towards its 2020 sustainability goals. On climate, absolute greenhouse gas emissions have been reduced by 16% since 2010, while in water the amount of water used in production facilities has decreased by 27% since 2010; Regarding waste, it achieved the goal of "zero waste" from production, which is sent to landfills in more than 80% of its production areas.
