Polisan Holding CEO Mehmet Hacıkamiloğlu said in his statement on the subject; "We meticulously implement sustainability policies and practices in all our areas of activity. We aim to be carbon neutral in this context by meeting all of the electrical energy needs used in our operations with renewable energy. This year, we expanded our work to include the supply chain and determined absolute emission reduction targets for 2025," he said.
Polisan Holding, which is included in the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), which encourages companies to set SMART goals and take action regarding the solution of many global environmental problems, was entitled to enter the "B" list at the global level in CDP's Climate Change Program and Water Security Program. Evaluating the change in the rating outlook of Polisan Holding, Turkey's well-established conglomerate operating in the paint, chemical, port management and real estate sectors, CEO Mehmet Hacıkamiloğlu noted that a serious policy has been implemented to combat climate change for nine years and that the target is the "A" list, which is the upper rank in the rating outlook.
Mehmet Hacıkamiloğlu made the following statements in his statement: "Reducing carbon emissions in the industry to the lowest possible level and carrying out resource management, especially energy, in a policy that will support nature and efficiency is possible with a strong corporate stance. Increases the use of renewable resources in energy
Mehmet Hacıkamiloğlu, who stated that they reduced the Scope I-II emission intensity by 49 percent in 9 years in the fight against climate change, said, "We aim to meet the entire electrical energy need used in all our operations, including our chemical and paint factories as well as the area of our port operation in the Kocaeli Gulf Region, with renewable energy, and to be carbon neutral in this context. This year, we expanded our work to include the supply chain and achieved absolute emission reduction by 2025." "We determined the goals," he said.
Focused on solutions that reduce water pollution and recycling
Foreign business partnerships with Japanese Kansai Boya, one of the world's ten largest paint manufacturers. Stating that they reduced the environmental footprint of their products throughout their life cycle by supplying factory quality paint at 3,500 points with the first water-based mixing machine introduced by Polisan Kansai Boya to Turkey, Mehmet Hacıkamiloğlu also included the Holding's subsidiaries operating in Turkey, Polisan Kimya and Poliport, in his statement. "We are implementing solutions that will reduce water consumption, pollution and ensure recycling in all production areas, especially in Polisan Kimya. Our R&D activities on water resource use efficiency continue. As one of the leading independent chemical storage terminals in Turkey's most important port area, Kocaeli Gulf Region, we have implemented the port automation system AION at Poliport, which provides bulk liquid storage services, dry cargo and general cargo unloading-loading services and warehouse services. We take our sustainability policy one step further with AION, which will increase efficiency in resource use. "We will take it further.
