Tetra Pak and Zero Waste Training Project

Tetra Pak continues to support the "Zero Waste Education Project" implemented by TEMA Foundation in cooperation with the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization and the Ministry of National Education.

Tetra Pak, the first and only private institution in Turkey that supports the Zero Waste Education Project, continues its work for a clean and healthy world. The project was launched in 2018 and has been expanded since 2019 with the support of Tetra Pak. The project aims to raise awareness among children about environmental awareness, nature-friendly consumption habits and waste management.

Thanks to the Education Portal, thousands of children are reached in 81 provinces

In the project, the concept of "zero waste" is introduced to children with the 5D model and they are taught how to reduce waste in their daily lives, consume less and use it in different ways. 5D model; It consists of the principles of "Think and Don't Consume Unless Necessary", "Consume Less", "Evaluate, Reuse", "Change, Use for Different Purposes", "Convert, Let Nature Win".

The "Zero Waste Education Portal", developed to spread the project all over Turkey, provides a resource open to the use of teachers. All teachers at preschool, primary school, secondary school and high school levels can access it. The portal contains rich educational content such as presentations, posters, project suggestions, online games and animated films.

In addition, thanks to the "box games" developed in cooperation with TEMA Foundation and Tetra Pak, children at preschool and primary school levels can have fun experiencing the concept of zero waste in 2019-2020. As of 2021, interactive books called "Zero Waste" and "5D for Zero Waste", developed for both levels, are being introduced to children.
