Crescents and Stars of Packaging Rewarded
27 Jan 2021The winners of the ninth Packaging Crescents and Stars 2020 Competition organized by the Packaging Manufacturers Association (ASD) were rewarded. Evaluating the results of the competition, Packaging Manufacturers Association (ASD) President Zeki Sarıbekir said, "Despite the epidemic period, there was great interest in our competition. As ASD, we will continue to further increase our value-added exports and contribute to our country's economy with this competition and our other activities." he said.
In the Crescents and Stars of Packaging 2020 Competition, the winners of the Gold, Silver, Bronze and Competency awards were announced among the 134 packages that made it to the finals out of 278. Packaging Manufacturers Association (ASD) President Zeki Sarıbekir emphasized that in the competition, which received applications in 13 different categories, the products were evaluated according to 11 criteria, from production quality to environmental awareness, from design to originality.
DESPITE THE PANDEMIC, THE INTEREST IS GREAT
Evaluating the results of the Crescents and Stars of Packaging 2020 Competition, Zeki Sarıbekir said, "Despite the epidemic period, there was great interest in our competition. We will continue to contribute to our country's economy by further increasing our value-added exports with this competition and other works we organize as ASD. I would like to thank everyone who participated in our competition. We will continue our work at full speed to ensure that the Turkish Packaging Industry moves forward. Our Crescents and Stars of Packaging 2020 Competition is for both our industry and our industry." It is also of great importance for our country's economy. THE MOST APPLICATIONS ARE IN THE FOOD, GRAPHIC DESIGN AND BEVERAGE CATEGORY
Stating that the competition is held every two years, Zeki Sarıbekir said, "The highest number of applications to the competition were from the food, graphic design and beverage categories. Among the products that were entitled to receive the 'Gold Award', 3 'Golden Packaging Awards' were determined in cooperation with the Turkish Standards Institute (TSE). Packaging manufacturers, brand owners and designers participated in our competition with their packages in the market. Our competition has also been accepting applications from abroad since 2015. Our competition is WPO-World Packaging Organization "It is the only packaging competition in our country that has competence and validity in the international arena, accredited by the World Packaging Organization (World Packaging Organization) and APF (Asian Packaging Federation). The winners also participated in the WorldStar and AsiaStar competitions. I wholeheartedly congratulate all our award-winning companies. Thanks to our competition that we initiated to provide competitiveness to brand owners, designers and packaging manufacturers in international markets, the recognition of our sector, which focuses on added value, is increasing day by day." he said.
