Summer 2023 Became the Hottest Summer in History

According to the data of the European Union Copernicus Climate Change Office (C3S), June, July and August temperatures increased by 0.66 ° C above the 1991-2020 average due to the extreme temperatures affecting North America, Europe and Asia. August was 1.5°C above the 1850-1900 average, becoming the hottest month after last July. While a record sea temperature was measured in August, temperatures in the North Atlantic reached 25.19 ° C and Antarctic glaciers fell 12% below the historical average. Experts emphasized that 2023 is on its way to becoming the hottest year in history.
