Turkey's Struggle with Climate Change, Industry's Sustainability and Zero Waste Studies Conference

ÇEVKO, Environmental Protection and Packaging Waste Utilization Foundation, which pioneered the development of the sustainable recycling system in our country, brought together representatives of the Public, Private Sector, NGOs and Academic Institutions at the conference organized after the UN Climate Action Summit, where Turkey was represented at the highest level.
After the UN Climate Action Summit held in the USA recently, where Turkey was represented at the highest level, "Turkey's Struggle with Climate Change, Industry's Sustainability and Zero Waste Studies Conference", which is the first event held in our country in this field, was held by ÇEVKO Foundation in Ankara on October 24, 2019.
Deputy Minister of Environment and Urbanization and Chief Climate Change Negotiator Prof. Dr. Mehmet Emin Birpınar was also present as a speaker. Deputy Chairman of the GNAT Environment Commission Muhammet Müfit Aydın and ÇEVKO Foundation Secretary General Mete İmer, as well as managers of industrial organizations that are members of the ÇEVKO Foundation Climate Change and Sustainability (İDS) Working Group, member organizations, public, private sector and academic institution managers also attended.
Industrial organizations that are members of the ÇEVKO Foundation İDS Working Group shared examples of their pioneering work on combating climate change, sustainability and zero waste. The effects of waste on Climate Change in our country were discussed in a panel organized with the participation of academics. 9-year-old pianist Arya Su Gülenç, who was among the participants of the event, performed live the piece she composed to draw attention to global climate change, called "Outcry".
